Family Testimonials

"We cannot thank Beacon House enough for the successful adoptions of our sons from Krasnodar and Vladivostok. Beacon House was with us each step of the way both times and they had a solution for any challenge we encountered. We had our case worker, Linda, on speed dial and Linda was always available to immediately answer any of our concerns. Linda's great patience and incredible attention to detail made for a great adoption process experience."

"There are no words to describe my gratefulness to Beacon House and their staff for bringing my little family of two together. Like many others, when I started the adoption process I was overwhelmed by choosing an adoption agency, after all these are the people I am putting all of my trust in to make me a mother. All my fears quickly went away during my meeting with Anne in December 2009. After months of prayer, research, and soul searching this decision I was making as a single woman, I sat in her office that day knowing without a doubt Beacon House was the right agency for me and that in the very near future I would become a mother. Throughout the process I never doubted my decision.

Thanks to Beacon and their amazing staff both here and in Russia I am now the proud mother of a beautiful two year old little girl.

My dossier was sent to Russia during the time the woman sent her adopted son back on a plane. As soon as this news hit the media I received a letter via email from Anne informing all the adoptive parents of what was really going on with Russian adoptions. For singles adopting from Russia this was a very difficult time. Linda, my case worker, stayed in contact reassuring me that I would get a call and that I would be a mother. When the media is constantly sensationalizing events it was such a comfort that I could block that all out and know BH would provide the true facts.

Linda was right, my call did come on March 30, 2011, a little one year old girl in Samara. My life was forever changed for the better that day. While in Russia the BH staff was wonderful. I always felt safe and comfortable that everything was under control.

Mariana and I have now been home for a little over seven months. She is a beautiful, smart and most of all happy child that is thriving in her new home.

I came across a quote that I feel best sums up my feelings. "You don't choose your family, they are God's gift to you, as you are to them." Mariana is my gift from God and Beacon House are the angels helping God's gift be brought to each family they bring together."

"My husband and I began our adoption journey on January 31st, 2010. We chose to go with Beacon House after doing online research. We knew we wanted to adopt from Russia, and we liked what we heard about their process. Once we began the paperwork process, we were put in touch with Anne Hughes, the director. She was able to answer our questions and concerns and kept in constant contact with us via email or phone the entire time. Our major question to her was how long until we get our baby? She repeatedly reassured that they were pushing for us and other families to have our kids by Christmas. The paperwork was long and tedious, as we had been told it would be, but we hurried to get everything done. We didnt want any hold up to be on our end. We received the referral of our daughter on the last day of August, which ironically turned out to be our daughters birthday. We traveled to meet her at the beginning of October. We stayed with a Beacon House representative in Russia for the entire week. Her family took us in as if we were part of theirs. We were very impressed with their home and their hospitality. Once we returned home, we rushed to get the last of our paperwork completed, with Christmas looming on the horizon. We had resigned ourselves to the fact that we wouldnt be able to get back to Russia in December, due to the holidays, but Christmas is about miracles. We got a call from Anne asking if we would travel back to Russia the second week of December and spend Christmas in Russia with our daughter. I am sure you can guess our answer! We adopted our 15 month old daughter, Saylor Ksaynia, on December 13th, 2010. We spent a magical Christmas in Russia and returned home safely on New Years Day. I would recommend Beacon House to anyone interested in adopting from Russia or domestically. While we were in Moscow we met numerous families who were finalizing their adoptions. We found out that our experience in adopting was rare. They told us horror stories about their adoption experiences, and the agencies they had used. Most couples we met had waited 3 to 4 years, and were finally getting a child. It took us less than a year. I kept thinking over and over "they should have used Beacon House."

"We would like to thank Beacon House for helping us find our amazing little girl. We had worked with Anne and Linda through our adoption process and they are phenomenal. From start to finish we knew exactly the process, where we were and what was to come, never anything unexpected. Beacon House represents the most extreme professionalism and guided us through the process above and beyond what we could have ever expected. We have been home almost two months now with our daughter and words cannot express how lucky WE are.

When we got to Vladivostok we worked with Oksana, who was our facilitator there. She truly makes you feel that there are no worries and she has everything under control, and SHE DOES have everything under controlNever once was there any uncertainty of what was going on. We missed her very much when we left. She is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about her work and we are blessed that she was our facilitator. While in Moscow we worked with Val and Tatiana. They as well had us right on track. They were very nice and helpful and never did we have to question what we needed to do while in Moscow. We had a wonderful experience on both trips in Russia knowing we had representatives of Beacon House with us. It is very reassuring knowing that you have Beacon House with you at home and while you are in Russia.

We recommend Beacon House to everybody who wants to adopt. They are an amazing, caring, knowledgeable, professional Agency and words can never be expressed enough for uniting us with the most fascinating, beautiful, smart little girl that had stolen our hearts the minute we met her.

Thank You to Beacon House; Anne, Linda, Oksana, Val.. , All at Beacon House who have been such a huge part of our lives. We will never forget all that you have done for us and Thank You for being so caring and understanding from beginning to end. "

Sincerely,
Mike and Renee

"We can honestly say that Beacon House Adoption Services (BHAS) answered our prayers for our precious baby girl. From the moment we entered the process of adopting a child from Russia, Beacon House provided us with individualized attention, first class service and helped us to navigate through every obstacle that we were faced with. Having one agent, specifically Linda Partain, assigned to us throughout the entire process made all the difference in the world. No matter what our question, no matter how nervous we were, Linda was there to calm our fears and to support us. BHAS selected a specific region within Russia to register our documents that they felt would be a good fit with our needs and interests. The expertise of BHAS within Russia in terms of the nuances between different regions, which region would be a better fit for one family and not another, and their knowledge of Russian culture and adoption procedures was absolutely vital. Despite the ever-changing climate of adoption from Russia, BHAS was able to provide us with current, accurate information and assured us that everything would be OKand it was! The BHAS staff within Russia also exceeded our expectations. Val and Tatiana in Moscow, and Anatoliy and Natalia in our region became like members of our own family. It was obvious to us that they truly care about the well-being of the children and families they are working with. Not only did Anatoliy and Natalia work tirelessly to make sure our documentation was correct, but they spent hours preparing us for the task at hand, preparing us for questions we would receive in court, for our first meeting with the Regional government officials during our first trip, literally standing by our side on court day, and finally celebrating with us when it was all over! From our conversations with families who have used other agencies to adopt from Russia, we certainly feel lucky to have found Beacon House. With a venture as challenging as international adoption, you want the best of the best helping you navigate along the way. We can honestly say from our own experience that Beacon House Adoption Services is phenomenal and, quite simply, the best. "

"My life, and my adopted daughter Paulina, had a before and an after Beacon House.

I will be very long of telling all that happen in our adoption process and all that passed to me. But before they think that my letter is not positive and cheerful, allow me to tell them something, every minute it was worthwhile. And we are tremendously proud of our decision and of our daughter. The setbacks, the papers and made documents and other, and another time, those referred, the delays, the conversant bad, the excuses, and the endless time that it continued happening and passing without stopping while our emotional, physical and mental waste was every more intense day and the longest days, they were real. But not exchange anything of our history, because every minute it was worthwhile, and for that reason is that Paulina is today with us and God has given us that wonderfull girl.

After the spring became autumn, and several stations passed until arriving spring again, Beacon House arrives to me. And without a doubt, I can assure that it was a shinny ray that illuminated our lives. When many times I felt without hope and my husband's shoulders were wet of so many cries, then as I speak with Linda a new adventure began to our lives

From the beginning, not only the support but the speed and the only person's seriousness that had my case from beginning to end, Linda made the difference. The process became from slow, problematic and devastating to quick, effective and touching in few hours. And the best thing were about to arrive! The wonderful experience that we live in Russia was thanks to our facilitators Val in Moscow and Oksana in Vladivostok, wonderful and sensitive people with a lot of experience that made our stay and the process of knowing our daughter a happy and unforgettable memory for the rest of our lives.

Val in Moscow, helpful, effective and mindful and so Oksana in Vladivostokwhat to say about Oksana? Everything is little, I will simplify it as our angel. Up to now I had never meet such an exemplary woman with so much sensibility, love, knowledge and passion for her work. With a sweetness, effectiveness and practical that helped us at every moment all the time. Simply, we love her!

I don't have words, without filling cries in my eyes that demonstrates the deep gratefulness that we feel with all that made possible our daughter's arrival. A healthy, intelligent, cheerful and beautiful girl that make us fill happiness days and in our lives. "

"We have now been home from Russia with little Dimitry for two months.

This dream became true thanks to Beacon House Adoption Services. We started our procedure in November 2008 and a year after we were home with our little angel.

The entire staff is fantastic! Choosing the right agency was very hard. We did our best in researching but also we had to take a leap of faith. From our first call to the agency through being home with our boy, Beacon House exceeded our expectations.

Linda and Anne made us fully aware of the pros and cons of adopting internationally. Therefore when we decided to go forward with Russia, we were ready for any challenge we might face. As we were told, we did encounter a few; however with the knowledge of Anne the Director of Beacon and Linda our case supervisor, we were able to overcome each one.

Linda was our main contact and what a terrific lady! She has so much patience, always answered our million questions, always available, very kind, and made us feel as if we were the only family she was working with. Beacon House could not have a better staff!

Once we received a referral that matched our family, Vladivostok was our destination via Moscow which is where we met Val, the head of the Moscow office. Val was very gracious and made us feel like we were all friends in this adventure. Upon our arrival in Vladivostok, we met Oksana who was our driver, translator and Beacon House representative. Again, the agency could not have better representatives. Oksana is very knowledgeable, and friendly. From the time we set foot in Russia, everything was very well organized and we could not have had a better experience.

Once back in the States after meeting the little boy we could not wait to come back to Vladivostok for our court date. As Oksana and Linda promised us, we were back 2 months later. The Beacon House team worked very hard to get us back with our son before Christmas and they did!!!

We would like to thank the entire staff of Beacon House, who made our dream come true!"

"Hope and I spent years longing to fill the emptiness and heartache that comes from not being able to have a child. After suffering many things from doctors who offered no real hope, we finally decided to try to adopt. We started our paperwork to adopt in January 2003. A few months later, on Hope's birthday, Margie from Beacon House called to say that she had a possible match. A few months later Margie handed us our little girl, Hannah. Hope cried and trembled as she held her and realized our lifelong dream had finally come true. Througout the entire process, Margie and Dawn were both helpful, patient and comforting. Margie and Dawn worked really hard, and yet still had time to endure my constant phone messages asking, "Is she here yet?". Fifteen months later, we called Margie again to ask her to help us expand our family. A week later, she called us with another match, our first born son, Josiah. Ann was extremely involved with us and helped us bring Josiah home. She too was patient and helpful throughout the process. Both of these children filled our once quiet home with wonder and laughter. We get to watch them grow, help each other and learn from each other. When we called Margie for a third child she was surprised. Her humor and cheerfulness made the third adption seem better. This one took a little longer to find, but she was patient with us the entire time. She helped us understand what to expect and how long the wait might take. At long last she called us with a match. We were overjoyed with the news. We even got to meet the birth mother and grandmoither this time and were glad to get the chance. Each time, we could tell that Margie has a good rapport with the birth mothers. Often times when we would call to check on how the baby and birth mothers were doing, she could tell us first hand as she was either with them at that time or had just left them. Her hands on help is a large part of the reason that Beacon House is such a good agency to use. By helping us adopt little Andrew, our other children were able to see firsthand what all is involved in adoption and have come to appreciate it even more. They can relay their memories to Andrew when he is older and wants to hear his story of how he came to be.

I always recommend Beacon House and Margie by name whenever someone asks for help adopting a child. They have helped bring to us a joyous home. We oftentimes wonder what we would have done were it not for Margie and Beacon House Adoption Services. The way they handled the paperwork, the birth mothers and the adopting parents is like a masterful conductor before a great symphony. The music they produce leaves you in awe."

"Hi! Our names are Mark and Cindy. We would like to thank Beacon House, especially Ms. Margie and Dawn, for helping us to complete our family by uniting us with our special baby boy. They were so kind and patient, answering all of our questions, no matter how big or small. We were constantly kept well-informed of our birthmothers progress. This is such an emotional process, but they were our biggest cheerleaders! They basically held our hands every step of the way. We also felt that our birthmother was very well taken care of by Ms. Margie, Dawn, and Lori. We really felt their love and concern for all involved. We would definitely recommend this agency to anyone who is considering adoption. Beacon House will always be a very special part of our family!"
"Lisa and I cannot thank you enough for Beacon House's extreme efforts in the adoption of our four-year old Russian son. When another agency lost their accreditation, you jumped into the middle of a mess and sorted out the chaos. You were always immediately available to talk and provide recommendations on the many challenges that surfaced. While in Russia, your team's professionalism and expertise made a seemingly insurmountable challenge possible.

We could not be happier with the family you helped create. Thank you Beacon House for your amazing efforts and dedication."

"Our adoption experience with you and your staff at Beacon House, was just wonderful! Beacon House, is very professional, understanding and compassionate of both the adoptive family and birth familys needs and feelings. As I share my wonderful adoption experience with friends and strangers , I also, tell them how much you and all of the staff are loved. I feel like you all, are our extended family and we will always remain close and in contact. Your adoption service is such a blessing to the adoptive family and birth family. Thank You and God Bless you and everyone at Beacon House."

"Our adoption story began in the early spring of 2008. Our hearts were filled with hope and lots of love for a little boy born in Vladivostok, Russia, who is now named Garrett. Life is amazing when you step back and look at the road you have traveled to fulfill Gods will for your life and someone elses. Carl and I decided to adopt a little boy from Russia and were referred to Beacon House Adoption Services; and they made our dreams come true. As we proceeded with our adoption, we had some ups and downs with referrals. At times, it seemed like I would lose my mind with the emotional roller coaster ride I was on. Not a day went by that I wouldnt email my stateside coordinator, Linda. I found lots of comfort in Linda and her ability/knowledge to carry out Beacon House Adoption Services mission with an international adoption. I was nervous about traveling to a foreign county, not being able to speak the language and having to muster my way through. After doing so, Beacon House Adoption Services walked us through this difficult process and my mind was at ease.

When Carl and I arrived in Vladivostok, Russia, we were greeted, and shuttled to our hotel by Beacon House staff, where we would call home for the next week. On Monday, we met Oksana, a beautiful lady with a huge heart for adoption, who was our coordinator in Vladivostok. Carl and I had such a peace with her. We were so grateful to Beacon House Adoptions Services to have her. Later that day, Oksana, Carl, and I set out on our journey to visit a little boy that was told that his mama and papa were coming to visit him. Not really understanding the whole concept of this, our little boy greeted us at the gate and ran alongside the fence waving his hand as if he did understand. We immediately knew we had found our son. Our week went very quickly. Before we knew it, we were back home faced with a mountain of paperwork. Every day, my mind would take me to the days we spent getting to know our son, and how he must have felt knowing he would have a family. I kept wondering: is he okay? Will he remember us? And are we ever going to make it back before the end of the year? Linda and Oksana worked very hard to make our dreams of having our son home for Christmas a reality. We received a call with an invitation to return to Vladivostok for court early December. We were excited, but filled with nervousness again, not knowing if our son would remember us. By this time, 4 months later, it was cold in Vladivostok, and our son had turned 4 years old. The next 24 days our life would be completely changed. Our son did remember us! As a matter of fact, we were told that he bloomed after we left from our first trip; they had to make him be quiet many times throughout the day. Our little boy who was shy & stand offish, was no more. He became a butterfly with wings, full of life. We visited the orphanage the day before and the day of court and our son took one look at me, and said thats my mommy. My eyes were filled with joy and overflowing with tears of gratitude to God and Beacon House Adoptions Services. Days leading up to court, our coordinator, Oksana worked with us, preparing us for court. We were ready! We were granted legal parents to our son Garrett with almost no questions in court. Today, Garrett is growing with lots of love and support of his new family. Our two dogs wake him up in the mornings for school. Carl and I are forever grateful to our friends at Beacon House Adoptions Services for always answering our emails, phone calls, and helping us through such a process that seems like it will never end. If you are thinking about an adoption, we highly recommend Beacon House Adoptions Services! They truly have the professionalism and knowledge to walk you through the most life changing experience you will ever encounter."

Sincerely,
Carl and Carol
"When my husband Steven and I decided to adopt, we knew that it was going to be the most important thing we would ever do. Knowing that the adoption process could be overwhelming at times, it was very important for us to make sure that the agency we chose was highly professional. It was equally important to us, however, that we feel comfortable with them on a personal level. I researched every agency I could find for nearly a year. Beacon House was the only agency I felt confident in throughout that process. From the first phone call I made in October of 2003, until the day we first held our precious daughter in our arms the following March, I knew we couldnt have chosen a more honest, caring, and professional group of people.

Ill never forget the first phone call I made in October of 2003. I was shaking as I dialed the numbers, unsure of what I should say or what questions I should ask. Dawn answered the phone and immediately put me at ease. She was so comforting and understanding. By the time I hung up the phone I knew that I had made the right decision in choosing Beacon House. We were immediately put in contact with a very helpful and friendly social worker to begin the process of our home study. In January of 2004, we received the phone call from Margie telling us that we had been chosen by our daughters birthparents. I could hear in her voice that she was as happy as we were with the news. Over the next few months, every question or concern we had was expertly answered and every fear was calmed. We were constantly updated with any news they had, and we knew that our daughters birthmother was truly cared for by Margie, Anne and Dawn.

The day our daughter was born was without question the happiest day of our lives. Ill never be able to put into words how it felt to hear Margies voice on the phone telling me how beautiful our daughter was. It still brings tears to my eyes. Over the next few days Margie, Anne and Dawn were in constant contact with us. Knowing that our sweet baby girl was being cared for by Margie, herself, gave us piece of mind that we would not have found in any other way.

Every day that has passed since Margie first placed our daughter in our arms has been a blessing. We never knew our lives could be so sweet. There is no question that when the time comes for us to welcome a new member to our family we will be turning to our friends at Beacon House. We couldnt have found a more professional, compassionate, and honest group of people to have gone through this amazing experience with."

Sincerely,
Sara and Steven
"The decision to adopt from Vladivostok was an easy one for us because we had adopted our son from there two years prior. Our experience with our first adoption agency (not Beacon House) was very rocky and at points we did not think that we would ever become parents. We did not know much about international adoption and did not do enough research before jumping in to this important process. After 18 long months our first adoption of our son Jaxson Pavel Crumpler was completed with the help of Beacon House and our wonderful facilitator Oksana. When deciding to adopt again there was no question that we would use Beacon House. Our experience with Beacon House was completely different from our first agency. There were no lies or hidden expenses. We submitted our application on January 28, 2008 to start the process for finding our daughter. Within four months we were making the long trip to Vladivostok yet again. That is when we met our beautiful daughter Rylee Maria Crumpler for the first time. She was so scared and did not show much expression. We were able to spend three days with her and had to say good bye. The wait between trips is the worst but there was clear communication between us and Beacon House. During our first adoption of our son we had a 9 month wait between trips and there was no communication of the issues from our first adoption agency. Because of Beacon House the adoption of our daughter went a lot smoother. Within three months we were heading back for our court date on August 29, 2008. Because of our first adoption experience with another agency we were expecting this process to take a lot longer but are very grateful for all the help and support that we received from Beacon House. With out them our family would not be complete."

Sincerely,
Crumpler Family
"We were planning to adopt a child from Russia and we took some time finding an agency to represent us. Many agencies we have spoken to informed us that it was a difficult and long process. We were glad to hear about Beacon House Agency. They provided excellent service and our processing time was reduced to six months where we anticipated the process to take at least one year. The agency staff was very polite and helpful. We felt comfortable with their knowledge and were confident they were doing everything they can to act in our best interest.

Because our original adoption plan did not work out we were not able to adopt the child we came to Russia for. The Beacon house agency did everything to help us find another beautiful baby girl that we could take home with us. We have named her Georgia and we are happy every day when we look at her. She has brought so much joy to our life. Without the help of Beacon House we would not be able to have Georgia with us today."

Our Adoption Experience

"We chose adoption as an option of becoming a family after many failed attempts with fertility treatments. We had friends and family who had already been through the adoption process tell us that when you find the right agency you just know it. This happened for us one Saturday morning at an adoption seminar provided by Beacon House Adoption Services where we met Mrs. Margie and Dawn. They answered every question we had and some we didnt know we had. Before ever leaving the seminar we looked at each other, smiled and said THIS IS THE ONE!!!!

We brought our application to Mrs. Margie in August 2004 and brought our son home in September 2005. In the months between we observed something we werent expecting. Adoptions werent just a pay check for the Beacon House staff; it was their life to place beautiful little lives with deserving families. Mrs. Margie and Dawn made us feel like we were their only clients. No, they made us feel like family! Every time we called they took as much time for us as we needed. We had a bad habit of popping up at the office unannounced and as busy as they were, they always made us feel welcomed.

Mrs. Margie always kept us informed about our Birthmothers doctor appointments and how she was feeling both physically and emotionally. Out Birthmothers heath and mentality were extremely important to us. Beacon House treated her with the utmost respect.

We enjoyed our experience with Beacon House so much that we have referred friends to them and highly recommend that you too give them a call. We not only left Beacon House as PARENTS, we left with life long friends as well. If you would like to speak to us about our experience; Beacon House would be more than happy to give you our number. Please feel free to call."

"We have recently returned from Russia with our adopted 4 y/o boy. The process, which is steeped in paperwork and appointments, was aided immensely by the professionalism and guidance from Beacon House. Our experience while in Russia could not have been any better. The coordinator on the ground in Russia is prompt, organized, and a real gem that helped us every step of the way. We are so pleased with how quickly things moved along for us in getting our new little one home. Thank you Beacon House."

"Our journey to adoption started in March 2008. We have a biological son and have always wanted to adopt. We contacted several agencies and decided to go with Beacon House. Once we sent in our paperwork, the process went so fast. We met our daughter in July. She is 2 1/2 years old. For me, as a Mother, I think the first time she hugged me was like the first time I held my son. Tears were streaming down my face when she wrapped her little arms around my neck. I have been excited, scared to death, impatient and overwhelmed with all of the emotions...but Beacon House has held my hand and helped me through the whole process."

Gina and Ben
"When we made our decision to adopt a baby, two couples that had recently adopted children recommended that we use someone to help us find the best agency for us. We used an independent company to research adoption agencies across the United States and Beacon House was at the top of the list. Beacon House is nationally known for having one of the highest successful adoption rates. We were confident in the staff at Beacon House and their direction. Beacon House was the perfect choice for us. Taking care of birth mothers is a priority with them. Through this, the result is healthy babies and successful adoptions.

Our first meeting...with Beacon House was March 30th. Our beautiful daughter was born November 6. Beacon House is supportive and caring to the birth mothers as well as the adoptive parents. We are extremely grateful for the blessing of life. Anne Hughes and the Beacon House staff will always have a place in our hearts."

Randy and Sandy
"In early 2007, we accepted the referrals for two little girls from Samara, Russia. Everything progressed very, very smoothly and quickly. We flew to this region in western Russia in May of that year, and had court on the Fourth of July - talk about a symbolic "independence day" for our new daughters!

The in-region staff that Beacon House employs, are professional, efficient, and very pleasant. We felt we were in very good hands from beginning to end.

Our wonderful girls have been home eight months now and are doing remarkably well! They are healthy, bright, curious and imaginative. We are thrilled that they joined our family. They bring us much joy and laughter.

Thanks to Anne at Beacon House for not thinking it was crazy to refer two 18 month-olds to this old married couple!"
"Beacon House assisted us with the adoption of two infants from the Vladivostok, Russia region in 2003. Based on the excellent experience we had then, when we decided to adopt again, we knew we wanted to use Beacon House. We just completed the adoption of our new little daughter from Vladivostok, and we couldnt be more pleased with our experience. Our adoption was expeditious and painless, and we feel very fortunate to have our little girl. We couldnt be more pleased with the assistance we were given, both here in the U.S., as well as in Russia. Particularly when we saw and heard about difficulties some adoptive parents had experienced with their agencies, we were grateful for the professionalism, competence and ethics that characterized our own experience with Beacon House."

Jean and Joe
"We have had the pleasure of adopting from Beacon House on two separate occasions. Everyone involved in the process is professional, and, more importantly, available and willing to lend an ear at any time. Adoption is a stressful period of time for everyone, yet Beacon House tries to minimize the pressure and help you through the proceedings with care and patience.

Every question is treated with the importance you feel it requires. We really enjoyed the people we dealt with and left with a feeling of admiration and trust of the Beacon House organization. Anne Hughes is a particularly effective administrator. She is honest and forthright and still able to interweave compassion into every case. Always pleasant, she makes you feel like part of the team, they are truly a unique and special adoption agency.

We recommend Beacon House as a first class adoption agency. We dont think you could deal with a more skillful agency anywhere."

With highest regard,
Liz and David
"Thanks to all involved in the recent adoption of our son Nate. We had a wonderful experience working with the Beacon House. Looking back on the adoption of our son , we couldn't be happier. We have an amazing little boy and we appreciate all the efforts on both sides of the world that went into making our adoption happen. Working with the Beacon House staff both locally and in Russia was such a pleasure. The staff made the process much easier than we had originally thought.

When we first started the adoption process we had signed on with another agency. However after speaking with Anne Hughes over the phone and then in her office we knew we needed to change agencies to feel more comfortable. Once we changed we felt that we were treated as the only clients searching for our child. Although Anne was always busy with clients, we truly felt like when we called with a question or concern that she would put her all into finding the answer. We immediatley felt comfortable and trusted that all involved would bring our son home as soon as possible.

The Beacon House staff are all very accommodating, helpful, and knowledgeable. Most of all they are very understanding and caring of both the children and the adopting families. The more I hear about people's experiences with other agencies, the happier I am to be one of your families.

We will always be grateful to the Beacon House for bringing our son home. Thank you so much."

"Hi, my name is Mary Beth. Im writing this letter in reference to our experience with Beacon House Adoption Services. We were referred to them in January 2000 from our home state of Connecticut. We were contacted right away. Our first contact with both Margie and Anne made us feel comfortable with adoption in Louisiana. They explained the laws and procedures, and answered all our questions. But what really impressed us most of all was their genuine interest in both my husband Dave and myself. We were made to feel as if we were family friends.

Margie contacted us on February 21, 2000 in regard to a placement of an infant who was born prematurely; she gave us all the information we needed to make a decision on adopting this infant. Both my husband and myself were very excited. We anxiously waited for the birthparents decision on placement. We were chosen! The paperwork went very smoothly. The next question Margie asked us was when are yall coming down. While we made arrangements to travel, Margie kept us informed of our daughter Kaylas condition, since she was still hospitalized. When we arrived, the next day Margie introduced us to our daughter. Kayla was thriving due to the excellent care she received in the hospital, and was able to be discharged shortly after we arrived. We had to stay in Louisiana for a few days to complete Interstate paperwork. Because the hotel was not prepared with a bassinet, Margie brought her grandchilds to our hotel, she let us know about restaurants and activities in the area and checked on us often.

I cant thank Margie or Anne enough. With their dedication and love, they have made our dream of a family come true. Our daughter continues to thrive and brings us great joy.

I hope this letter will help you make your decision...we know that for us Beacon House is the best. [They] will always hold a special place in our hearts."
"Where to begin, First off, my wife and I have adopted three kids from Russia with Beacon House as our local agency on all occasions.

The thing that impressed us most with Beacon House was their ability to walk us through the inevitable problems that came up. And everyone gets problems that have to be dealt with. The process has mounds of paperwork to fill out and get processed and youre dealing with a foreign country. Beacon House came through on lots of occasions. Sometimes the rules changed in the middle of the game and at the last minute we had to rewrite something, fill out a different form or just write something a little differently. Beacon House always found a way to get the job done. Even at the last minute. On the first leg of our last trip to Russia our departing flight was cancelled. Of course that immediately changed the rest of our schedule. We feared that we wouldnt be met at the airport in Moscow. I got on the hone and told Dawn at Beacon House what happened and gave her as much info as I could about our new travel plans. That was the last chance I had to speak with her. Sure enough she got in touch with our contacts overseas and we were met at the airport as promised. I guess thats the bottom line. No matter what it took, Beacon House always came through for us."

Dear Anne:

"Leon and I would like to take a moment to thank the staff of Beacon House for helping us to realize our dreams of becoming parents. From the moment we filled out our application to the awesome moment we held our son for the first time, and to this day, everybody at Beacon House was not only knowledgeable and professional but caring and supportive as well. We were always treated kindly and with respect. All our many questions were answered promptly, and the entire adoption process was smooth. Beacon House will forever hold a special place in our hearts, and the words Thank you seem so inadequate for the joy you have brought us."

"I have used Beacon House to adopt my two children. I have found Beacon House to be extremely efficient and professional yet warm and caring to the concerns of my family and those of the birth mother."

"My husband Scott and I began this adoption process in early August 2000. It is now early October and we are hopefully about to leave to pick up our beautiful daughter.

When I first called Beacon House, I had no idea what to ask or do for a Russian adoption. Margie immediately put me at ease and told me how to get started. Scott and I were both very anxious to move the process along so we constantly called Beacon House to inquire as to what our next steps were. Anne Hughes was most patient with us and made the whole process of the home study and paperwork quick and easy.

When we got our first referral we decided not to take the baby. This was very difficult for me because I felt as though I was rejecting a child. However, I had been told that I would know my child when I saw her. Scott and Anne both talked me through that decision and both were so right. When we did get the video of our daughter, we both knew instantly that she was ours! Our paperwork is done and we are now waiting (not so patiently) for our court date.

From the time I first picked up the phone and called Beacon House until today, my experience has been absolutely wonderful. Everyone there is not only nice, but patient and most helpful and my family will always be grateful to them."

"In 2007, I started to research options for single-parent international adoption. I first searched the internet for the different countries and the requirements for each country. As a result, I decided that I liked the idea of adopting a child from Russia. I also knew of three other families who had adopted from Russia with positive results. Next came the difficult partdeciding on an adoption agency to use for my home study, document preparation and international adoption process. After searching the internet for many hours, I narrowed down my list of possible agencies to 4. I then called the Better Business Bureau and found out that Beacon House Adoption Services had an excellent standing in the community while others had complaints lodged with their local Better Business Bureaus. I also spoke with another adoptive parent that had used Beacon House Adoption Services and she was extremely pleased with the services of this agency having used this agency to adopt multiple times from Russia.

This has been, and continues to be, the best thing I have ever done in my life. I would encourage any parent wishing to adopt to choose Beacon House Adoption services for their international adoption process. I will leave my email address with Beacon House and please feel free to contact me for more information.

And lastly, I want to thank Anne Hughes and her wonderful staff for making my dream come true. I love you all!!!!"
"Adopting our daughter was such a joyful experience thanks to the staff of Beacon House. We were well informed throughout the process and everyone was so easy to work with. We were so nervous meeting the birthparents but Mrs. Margie walked us through how things would be and when the time came she made us all feel so comfortable. It is very obvious that the staff at Beacon House cares for their families before and after placement. We are so thankful that we were able to work with them to complete our family. "
"We would like to express our gratitude to Beacon House Adoption Services, for the amazing work that they do. We can not say enough about how wonderful they are to work with, how helpful and comforting they are in the adoption process and how kind and sincere they are. We were so lucky to get to work with them through our adoption of our little angel. Our birth-mom was well taken care of as well as our family. We would highly recommend using Beacon House Adoption Services to anyone! We would definitely work with them again in the future. Margie, and Dawn were especially great to work with and became our dear friends. Thank you so much Beacon House!!!"

Sincerely,
Ember & Don C.
"When we decided to adopt, we investigated several agencies and options. The staff of Beacon House was very knowledgeable and their adoption process was much more appealing to us than those of the other agencies we visited.

From our match through completion of the adoption paperwork, Margie, Dawn and the rest of the team at Beacon House held our hands, answered our questions and took care of our birth mother and wonderful baby boy. If we decide to adopt again, our first call will be to Beacon House Adoption Services.

We will always be grateful to Beacon House for helping make our family complete."

"My adoption story is probably a little out of the ordinary. Ive never met anyone at Beacon House in person, but I can tell you that Anne Hughes from Beacon House has had the biggest and best impact on my life because she helped bring my daughter in to my life. I live in the Midwest and selected Beacon House Adoption from the internet. Using the internet for adoption can be a little scary because you dont see the people you are involved with so it is harder to judge situations.

In my case, I am lucky to have been able to adopt one of the last children coming out of Guatemala before adoptions were shut down there. Because she was one of the last children coming out of the country there were many roadblocks that Anne helped me deal with. My daughter is actually my second referral. On my first referral, the birth mother asked for the baby back. Everyone around me said how sad that was, and I replied no not really. Now I know for sure Im dealing with a good adoption agency because they returned the first baby to the birth mother. I also know now that it was meant for me to always have the second child instead of the first because we are a perfect fit.

I made three trips to Guatemala and each time there were no problems with the Guatemalan people working on behalf of Beacon House. The people I met in Guatemala were friendly and so helpful. They were on-time for all our appointments and they genuinely cared for the children that were in their care. That is evident today as to how well adjusted my daughter is and she has only been in the United States a few months. For others thinking about adoption, I would highly recommend using Beacon House Adoption, no matter what part of the United States you reside in."

Sincerely,
Melissa
"Our venture with Beacon House was both pleasant and rewarding. They were always available to tend to our every need. We chose Beacon House because of their extensive adoption experience. Their very down to earth approach made us feel like they were building families, not selling a product. After choosing Beacon House as our adoption agency we knew immediately we had made the right choice. The adoption experience can be and is a very emotional roller coaster. Beacon House was there to hold our hand every step of the way. Never was there a question left unanswered. If they didnt have the answer they found out in a very timely manner. They were always prepared and kept us well-informed of the next step, resulting in less emotional upset and stress. Throughout our adoption process we have made life-long bonds with other adoptive families. In discussing our experience with agencies, Beacon House was by far the most prepared, professional and personable of all the agencies discussed.

I find it hard to put into words our experience with Beacon House. Our adoption was the most rewarding experience of our lives. At the end of our journey Beacon House celebrated with us as our family was made complete. Now at the beginning of our next journey I am more than pleased to say our family has expanded in more ways than one. Anne and Margie have also become a part of our family. To them we owe our heart."

To Other Adoptive Parents:

"Hi, our names are Debbie and Mark and our little angel Yuri Dupont. We are pretty much finished with our adoption except for the post-placement and a few other things. Beacon House Adoption Services is our agency.

They are both very honest and up front. We enjoyed working with Anne and Margie very much. All questions were answered quickly and honestly. Our adoption took 9 months, because the laws changed and there were some mix-ups with the date on Yuris registry on the federal level (no ones fault). It still was a fairly smooth process thanks to Anne and Margie at Beacon House. They have a loving family feeling toward all families they help. If not for them our family would not be complete.

If anyone needs me to answer any questions we will be happy to answer them because we were in your spot not long ago. If you call Beacon House they will give you our phone number. We have a good relationship with Beacon House and you will too. We would like to thank Anne and Margie."
"We made our decision to adopt a baby after struggling through infertility treatments for over four years. Some of our friends had recently adoption children and recommended that we get help in finding the best agency for us. We used an independent to help research adoption agencies across the United States and Beacon House ended at the top of our list for many reasons.

After choosing Beacon house as our adoption agency we knew immediately we had made the right choice. Beacon House was there to help not only the birth mother but us as adoptive parents through every step of the process. Dawn and Margie were always prepared and kept us well-informed of the progress, resulting in less emotional stress and more excitement about our new addition to the family. We felt confident in knowing that Dawn and Margie were not only helping us to begin our family but were also helping the birth mother as well. Their outpouring of love and support to all involved in the process was much appreciated.

Beacon House is nationally known for having one of the highest successful adoption rates. For us this high placement rate was also very important. We had been trying to start a family for many years and wanted to work with an adoption agency that had proven adoption experience.

It is very difficult to put into words how much we appreciate the team at Beacon House. They have given to us the precious gift of life and helped us start our family. We are reminded of their great Christmas gift (December 11th placement) each and every day as we watch our son grow. We will soon begin the process of trying to adopt another baby and hope to work with Beacon House once again."
