3 Tips for your Adoption Profile Book
1. Don’t use too many pictures.
A profile book tells your life story in pictures, but too many pictures on a page does not present well. Think quality not quantity: 4-6 pictures to a page maximum.
2. Don’t use too much text.
Every picture does not need a caption, let pictures speak for themselves. Necessary text includes a “Dear Birthmother Letter”, a paragraph about each parent, and a closing statement or quote.
3. Keep it simple.
Birthmothers often view 2-3 Profile books at a time. Too much information can be overwhelming. Crazy patterns, competing colors and design, various fonts, too much info, can end up looking messy not artsy. Remember less is more.
