Because we at Beacon House believe that the confidential nature of adoption is paramount, the majority of adoptions that we complete are Semi-Open Adoptions. The degree of openness or privacy is dependent on the needs and desires of the birthparents. Through non-identifying, sharing of information, usually in the form of a Profile Book, This gives birthparents some degree of control, and they are able to choose the family that is right for their child.
